Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Attend select spring and summer events to capture photo and short-form video content for use across social media, email, and promotional materials.
  • Draft, format, and schedule social media posts (2-4 per week) on Facebook and Instagram using provided messaging and visual assets. Monitor social media comments and messages and flag items requiring staff response.
  • Build and format marketing emails and newsletters (1-3 per month) in Mailchimp using existing templates and staff-provided content.
  • Post and maintain program and event listings across community calendars and partner event sites.
  • Make minor website updates including event dates, registration links, and basic program information using WordPress.
  • Adapt, resize, and format existing graphics using Canva to ensure consistency and quality across social media, email, website, and event listing platforms.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Experience capturing photos and short-form video for marketing use (events, performances, or similar)
  • Strong written communication skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote, asynchronous environment
  • Experience maintaining content calendars and meeting regular publishing deadlines

Preferred

  • Background in nonprofit or arts organizations
  • Familiarity with WordPress for basic content updates
  • Knowledge of or genuine enthusiasm for choral music and the performing arts
