Job Summary

Own multi-channel storytelling for a nonprofit, driving content that persuades, informs volunteers, and fuels fundraising with clear audience focus.

  • Content and Social Ownership: drive content creation, calendar, and asset capture across newsletters, website features, and social platforms from planning to publication.
  • Platform Optimization: steer brand-consistent updates, trend-based recommendations, and audience engagement on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation*: Develop and write high-quality, compelling content for use in newsletters, website feature stories, and social media platforms that tell the organization's story and demonstrate its impact.
  • Collaborate with other departments to determine content and timing for future print and digital materials.
  • Edit and polish stories written by volunteers to ensure they meet brand standards for publication.
  • Capture and edit engaging content for social channels, using video, stills, audio, and other approved assets.
  • Social Media Management*: Develop and execute a comprehensive content calendar for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn) to enhance brand awareness and community engagement.
  • Ensure all platforms are current, engaging, and aligned with brand guidelines, and respond to comments and questions.
  • Monitor social trends and contribute platform-specific recommendations based on trending content, audience behavior, and channel performance insights.
  • Email Marketing*: Create and distribute email marketing campaigns to target audiences, track performance, and optimize engagement levels.
  • SEO and Website Management*: Assist in updating the organization's website (WordPress), ensuring content is current, user-friendly, accessible, and optimized for search engines (SEO).
  • Marketing Analytics*: Monitor and analyze social media metrics, website traffic, and email campaign performance to evaluate effectiveness and inform strategy.
