Job Summary

Own the media relations and content backbone for a summer intern role, focusing on press briefings, partner outreach, and multi-channel social content including video and newsletters for a portfolio of properties and foundations.

  • Press & media operations: briefings, follow-ups, and a tiered contact list.
  • Social content & video: calendar creation, social posts, and video editing for social and website use.
  • Content & outreach scope: newsletters and artist/partner communications for arts programs and foundations.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Produce journalist or special guest briefings
  • Schedule and conduct employee and tenant feature interviews
  • Produce museum partner briefings
  • Conduct press follow-up calls from press advisories
  • Maintain a multi-tier press contact list
  • Develop a long-term social media content calendar
  • Produce social media posts
  • Capture and edit video for social media and website use
  • Produce Schnitzer Properties and Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation newsletter items
  • Organize and maintain press clips

Requirements

  • Rising university or college juniors and seniors or graduate students majoring in communications, journalism or marketing.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Travel to assigned properties may be required.
