Own the creation and execution of marketing content and campaigns with hands-on work in social media, photography, videography, graphics, and proofreading across District programs.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the overall functions of the Marketing & Communications department.
  • Assist with creating engaging content for the District’s websites, social media channels, email communications, and other platforms.
  • Photograph and record video at District programs, events, and facilities.
  • Create short-form video content for social media.
  • Assist with planning and developing social media content.
  • Write, edit and proofread marketing materials, including news articles, newsletters, and other communications.
  • Create basic graphics and promotional materials using established brand standards and templates.
  • Assist with developing promotional campaigns for programs, events, facilities, and other District initiatives.
  • Assist with proofreading and quality control to ensure accuracy, consistency and adherence to District.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong internal and external customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and concise social media content.
  • Basic photography and videography skills.
  • Basic graphic design skills and familiarity in Canva.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Creativity, initiative and willingness to learn.

Preferred

  • Previous experience creating content for social media, school organizations, or community organizations is a plus.
