Job Summary

Own end-to-end national TV/Streaming/CTV buying and negotiation, with ongoing plan execution, post-analysis, and optimization across multiple clients and negotiators.

  • Own media scheduling, direct IO and programmatic buys, and daily buy maintenance to hit campaign goals.
  • Coordinate with Strategy and planning teams to translate approved plans into concrete actions and track client project status.
  • Rotate through post-analysis, upgrades, and marketplace-driven strategies to improve buying effectiveness and rating accuracy.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage media network/partner relationships
  • Supervise the Negotiator(s) and Assistant Negotiator(s) on all day-to-day activities for respective line of business
  • Ability to execute beginning-to-end Streaming/CTV buy via Direct IO and/or Programmatic Guaranteed
  • Present quarterly TV Post-analysis
  • Issue directives to Investment group to guide buying process
  • Meet with Negotiators and communicate approved plan for implementation
  • Update planning team on status of client projects
  • Manage the negotiation, presentation, and implementation of national television and cable schedules
  • Train Associates and Senior Associates in all aspects of national broadcast (schedule maintenance, strategies, programming, and negotiating), as well as the client(s) business and industry
  • Ensure fulfillment of campaign goals through daily buy maintenance
  • Follow buying guidelines to establish goals.
  • Look for opportunities to upgrade the effectiveness of buying.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork that has been confirmed by station and representative.
  • Monitors schedules requesting upgrades and bonus for make-goods and discrepancies.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies based on changing conditions in the marketplace for all aspects of national broadcast
  • Coordinate efforts with the Strategy team(s)
  • Evaluate media opportunities and make proper recommendations
  • Seek out new and innovative media opportunities which can benefit client(s)
  • Assure that all buys for their accounts deliver the media strategy and investment specification
  • Collaborate with the Negotiator(s) to ensure the negotiation strategy is sound and the rating projections are accurateSite? could be truncated

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of buying systems and marketplace intelligence
  • Four-year college degree
  • 4 - 7 years previous media buying experience.
  • MediaOcean/DDS/Prisma experience (or comparable buying software)
  • Advance level of proficiency with Microsoft Word for Windows and Excel
