Job Summary

Own community engagement for FTTH projects, aligning outreach with permitting and construction while turning neighborhood stakeholders into advocates through education, relationship-building, and proactive issue mitigation.

  • Public engagement: represent the project at town halls and public meetings to educate on timelines and processes.
  • Cross-functional alignment: coordinate with legal, operations, and communications to ensure consistent messaging and timely updates.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning and execution of community engagement for FTTH deployment projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with HOA management companies, HOA boards, utility districts, and community leaders.
  • Serve as the public face of Ezee Fiber at town halls, council meetings, and other public forums—educating stakeholders about the FTTH construction process and timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with internal construction and engineering teams to map outreach efforts and communicate key FTTH project updates to impacted neighborhoods.
  • Identify and manage potential community concerns or resistance to FTTH construction, developing proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Plan and lead educational events, neighborhood outreach campaigns, and stakeholder briefings to build community support and understanding of fiber network benefits.
  • Ensure alignment between community engagement efforts and permitting, construction, and maintenance timelines.
  • Monitor engagement budgets, track metrics, and report regularly on community feedback and project sentiment.
  • Serve as a cross-functional partner with legal, operations, and communications teams to ensure consistent and effective messaging.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Communications , Public Affairs, Construction Management, or a related field. Three ( 3 ) plus years of experience in telecommunications, or utility construction.
  • - Experience supporting or managing FTTH projects or similar fiber infrastructure rollouts.
  • - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; strong public speaking and relationship-building abilities.
  • - Skilled in navigating sensitive political environments and working across departments.
  • - Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • - Experience preparing and delivering presentations and reports to executive and community audiences.
  • - Willingness to travel and attend evening or weekend events as needed.
  • - Valid Driver’s License
  • Travel Requirements Standard daily travel to assigned territories is required for this position (up to 30% of the time within a 10-mile radius)
