Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead integrated external communications plans that elevate the Starbucks customer experience through compelling storytelling, media engagement, and proactive reputation management.
  • Develop narratives, media materials, and proactive and reactive communications strategies that drive awareness and engagement.
  • Partner across marketing, product, and internal communications teams to deliver coordinated, high-impact go-to-market communications plans.
  • Shape and land meaningful earned media stories in a fast-paced environment while contributing to a collaborative team, and acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in consumer or brand external communications, preferably at a global consumer brand and/or at a PR agency (at least 7 years)
  • A well-rounded background in external communications and public relations, equal parts storyteller, strategist, and media expert
  • Proven media relations experience and writing capabilities (at least 7 years)
  • Experience building creative consumer brand campaigns through an earned media lens and earned influencers (at least 7 years)
  • Thrive in highly collaborative environments where great ideas come to life across functions
  • Adaptable, curious, and ready to make an impact in a fast-paced, customer-focused business
