Job Summary

Own the analytics workstream for communications programs by turning data into actionable campaign optimization, while building and mentoring the team and aligning with external stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain SQL-based reporting and dashboards that inform media decisions.
  • Lead MMM-informed testing and statistical analysis to guide planning and activation.
  • Coach Analysts and collaborate with external partners to plan, execute, and analyze projects.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Work with Associate Director to design and execute analytical plans to improve the effectiveness of communications programs.
  • Perform hands-on analysis in support of results, including development of conclusions and implications.
  • Supervise and mentor Analysts.
  • Teach Analyst to perform ongoing analysis to ensure the timely adjustment/optimization of campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain SQL-based reporting system.
  • Understand dashboards and apply MMM findings, statistical testing to media planning.
  • Partner with external analytical stakeholders daily to plan, execute, and analyze projects.
  • Support agency new-business process as directed.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in performing analytics in marketing sciences capacity at a media agency, market research, consulting, or pharmaceutical firm.
  • Working knowledge of databases and SQL a must.
  • Knowledge of web measurement technologies:
  • Ad serving platforms (e.g. DART), Website analytics software (e.g. Adobe SiteCatalyst, Google Analytics),
  • Data visualization skills desirable (e.g. Tableau, Omniscope).
  • Quantitative educational background (preferred advanced degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Economics, Quantitative Marketing).
  • Strong analytical skills – able to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Experience analyzing large data sets.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex, technical concepts to broad based partner audience.
