Job Description
Responsibilities
- Serve as a direct resource and mentor for the Mental Health Social Practitioner team.
- Assist the Program Manager with onboarding, training, and orienting new staff to the Clubhouse model.
- Provide real-time coaching and feedback to Practitioners on engagement strategies and documentation.
- Collaborate closely with the Program Manager to maintain accountability, performance standards, and quality of care delivery.
- In the absence of the Program Manager, act as the point of contact for operational and member-related decisions.
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with Clubhouse members.
- Orient new members to the Clubhouse philosophy, work-ordered-day structure, transitional employment, and other Clubhouse opportunities.
- Facilitate daily Clubhouse activities aligned with the work-ordered day, working side-by-side with members to operate all program functions
- Support members in achieving goals related to housing, employment, education, and wellness.
- Provide advocacy and de-escalation support during challenging or crisis situations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, or related field (preferred)
- Experience working with individuals living with serious mental illness or related populations
- Previous experience mentoring, training, or supporting staff strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of mental health practices, recovery models, and trauma-informed care
- Experience with Medi-Cal documentation and behavioral health systems preferred
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and engagement skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Must be proficient in technology, including documentation systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion principles
- Bilingual preferred
