Job Summary

Own media research and outbound storytelling for external comms, turning research, copywriting, and media relations into campaign momentum.

  • Research and competitive analysis to guide strategy and messaging
  • Build and maintain media and influencer lists, editorial calendars, and reporting
  • Craft press releases, website copy, collateral, and social content for integrated campaigns

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct new business and client/competitor research and analysis
  • Develop media lists, influencer lists, editorial calendars, and media results reports
  • Participate in internal team and client meetings
  • Write news releases, website copy, fact sheets, collateral copy, social media content, and other materials; support development of integrated campaign materials, including case studies
  • Conduct social media and brand research, as well as audits
  • Interact with local, trade, and national media, as well as influencers, when appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree, with junior or senior class standing preferred; preference given to public relations, communications, marketing, advertising, and journalism majors, but all majors will be considered
  • Prior internship experience in public relations, communications, marketing, or journalism is a plus
  • Strong research, writing, organizational, and time management skills
  • A proven understanding of marketing and communications, social media, digital and traditional media
  • Excellent communication skills; proficiency using AP Style is preferred
  • Solid critical thinking skills and the ability to take initiative
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings within an in-person and/or hybrid setting
  • Excellent attention to detail, including proofreading
  • A positive attitude and drive
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship

  • Exposure to a broad agency setting spanning communications, marketing, strategic planning, media, creative, and digital disciplines
