Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage executive communications strategy and content cadence tied to an executive platform and business objectives, including managing key organizational announcements, all-employee communication and developing key presentation materials for strategic internal meetings such as senior leader meetings and sales kick-offs.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies supporting one executive vice president, including thought leadership, digital content, and media engagement, while ensuring alignment and support for key HP events and executive initiatives. Experience developing a social media strategy a plus.
  • Advise on messaging, tone, & strategy to ensure clarity, authenticity, and impact during critical moments. Ensure strategic alignment across corporate affairs / ELT comms and overall corporate affairs organization.
  • Establish and operationalize a compelling narrative that reinforces HP’s vision & strengthens stakeholder confidence.
  • Position EVP as an influential voice in technology and innovation, elevating HP’s credibility with key external stakeholders.
  • Ensure consistency & confidence in business unit narrative across HP and build engagement from the inside out.
  • Collaborates across teams to support integrated communications programs with Corporate Affairs, Marketing, Business Units and support functions.
  • Drafts authored content to generate earned media stories about HP innovation around the world.
  • Supports the development of high-impact, creative and scalable content in support of editorial strategy across earned, owned and social platforms.

Requirements

  • BA or BS in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration.
  • 10+ years of work experience in communications, journalism, or marketing.
  • Previous experience as an exec comms support for senior leader.
  • Powerpoint presentation development skills.
  • Ability to work across a matrixed organization and lead through influence.
  • Understands newsworthy storytelling.
  • Superior storytelling, writing and editing skills; strong oral communications skills and ability to convey complex ideas.
  • Superior organization and program management skills within fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • A relentless focus on the details.
  • Ability to link communications plans and activities to business results.
