Job Summary

Own Canva’s consumer-communications program by shaping proactive media storytelling, building strong journalist relationships, and delivering data-led narratives that surface creator impact while coordinating regional events and cross-border communications.

Job Description

Own and drive Canva’s consumer communications through proactive storytelling, media partnerships, and data-driven narratives that keep Canva central in cultural conversations.

  • Media Relations: Proactively secure coverage across consumer outlets with compelling pitches and campaigns.
  • Consumer Profile & Campaigns: Build Canva’s consumer presence through strategic media storytelling and creative campaigns for creators and professionals.
  • Cultural Moments: Identify and capitalize on trends, seasonal moments, and viral conversations to keep Canva timely and top of mind.
  • Media Relationships: Develop trusted connections with reporters, producers, creators, and influential voices across broadcast, print, digital, and emerging platforms.
  • News & Data Storytelling: Scale data-driven narratives using on/off-platform data to surface creator stories and trends.
  • Events & Activations: Lead local press events and brand activations to bring Canva to life for media, creators, and partners.
  • Regional Communications: Coordinate North America internal and external communications with regional leaders and teams.
  • Global Collaboration: Support broader Canva communications initiatives across corporate, product, enterprise, executive, and people narratives.
