Job Summary

Lead Hera’s health system referral engine and field sales efforts, turning organic traction into a scalable, multi-market referral machine.

  • Own relationships with clinical teams, close referrals, and grow volume across existing partners.
  • Must-have: 2–5 years in sales, partnerships, or business development with revenue impact.
  • Standout: Proven in-person presence and field leadership in healthcare in NYC markets.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own the health system referral engine (day 1)
  • Deepen existing partnerships at NYU Langone, Weill Cornell, and Mount Sinai — growing referral volume and expanding into new departments and specialties
  • Map the full referral ecosystem at each partner: who refers, who champions, who blocks, and what each persona cares about.
  • Build and run outreach to new health systems in NYC, then NJ and beyond
  • Develop the top-down motion to complement the bottoms-up traction we already have
  • Build the playbook (Months 1 - 2)
  • Systematize what's working: create repeatable processes for stakeholder mapping, outreach sequencing, in-service delivery, and referral activation
  • Define and own metrics: referral volume, conversion rate, time-to-first-referral per new partner, referral retention by partner
  • Identify what's not working and kill it fast.
  • Shape the product (Ongoing)
  • Be the voice of the referring physician and clinical team inside Hera. We're building a real-time picture
  • Physicians lose visibility the moment a patient walks out the door. We're building a shared operating picture that meets them where they are in EPIC and bridges clinical data and data on the patient in the community, so Hera becomes infrastructure they can't live without.
  • Hire and lead a field sales team.
  • Healthcare is local. Every market is a separate launch. You'll hire people who own their territory end-to-end, define the playbook, and build the team to run it.
  • The role
  • Your job is to turn organic health system traction into a repeatable, scalable referral engine.
  • For the first few months, you will personally own relationships with clinical teams, close new referring departments and health systems, and grow referral volume from existing partners. You'll be in the field — in clinics and in hospitals.
  • Today our motion is mostly bottoms-up: a social worker or doctor starts referring, brings us to their supervisor, we do an in-service, and it spreads from there. You'll pour fuel on that motion while also building the top-down relationships that unlock institutional partnerships at a different scale: department heads, CMOs, population health leaders.
  • Hire and lead a field sales team.
  • What we're looking for
  • 2–5 years in sales, partnerships, or business development, you've personally built relationships that drove revenue or growth
  • You're a builder, not a process-follower. You thrive bringing clarity to ambiguity.
  • Exceptional in-person presence. You walk into a room and people trust you
  • You're rigorous about what's working and what's not. You track your own metrics and iterate without being told
  • You care deeply about this mission
  • Based in NYC or willing to relocate
