Responsibilities
- Work with the Food Team (Senior Food Editor and Associate Editorial Director) to publish high-quality, differentiated food and recipe content to drive growth through SEO, social, email and other channels, striving for journalistic and editorial excellence in all that you do.
- Manage all aspects of our recipe production workflow, from ideation, making assignments and writing development requests to reviewing, editing and publishing recipes. Serve as primary liaison with Food Studios, clearly communicating timelines and deliverables to team members to ensure all are aligned on priorities.
- Collaborate with growth & audience teams to plan audience driven editorial content & promotional packaging. Collaborate with the video team to guide in the strategic development of recipe videos editorial franchises, request pitches, assign and edit content. Collaborate with internal publishing and consumer marketing teams on special print issues, sponsored programs and other brand initiatives.
- Support EatingWell’s Commitment to Inclusion to ensure that our work—from the content we publish to daily interactions—comes from a place of inclusion and authentically represents the audience we serve.
- Monitor competitor activities, taking appropriate actions to maintain a leadership position. Leverage AI to improve productivity to make day-to-day tasks more efficient as well as improve workflows.
- Attend and/or present at industry events to increase brand and personal profile internally and externally and grow a network of freelance writers and editors and expand skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years digital content experience
- Fluency using a CMS, analytics programs
- Excels at identifying and overseeing the execution of high-quality content
- Understands what makes high-quality, engaging content to a digital audience and can provide direction to others or write or edit to deliver
- Possesses a solid understanding of analytics, how to acquire, interpret and use data to drive decision making
- Thinks strategically and acts tactically. You’re willing to roll up your sleeves and do what needs to be done.
