Job Summary

Own on-site education delivery and veteran engagement with strict script fidelity, ensuring uninterrupted lead capture and concise conversations that fuel booth traffic.

  • Education delivery: own accurate script execution for the full shift to build trust with a veteran audience.
  • Lead capture and airflow: manage QR/paper intake with flight-line connectivity risk.
  • Booth conversations: drive discussions and smooth handoffs to the V4V lead for off-script topics.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the approved educational script accurately and consistently, for the full shift, to a high standard. We are strict about this. The script is what keeps our education accurate and our promises honest.
  • Engage veterans, service members, and families with professionalism, warmth, and respect. Many are hearing this information for the first time.
  • Capture leads using the approved intake process, including QR code forms and paper backup. Connectivity on the flight line is not guaranteed, and lead capture cannot stop when the signal does.
  • Distribute branded promotional materials to attendees to drive booth traffic and start conversations.
  • Refer anything outside the script to the on-site V4V lead. Knowing where your line is matters as much as knowing the script.
  • Support booth setup and breakdown each day. Our team averages 15 minutes, and we intend to hold that.
  • Attend the daily team huddle before gates open and the debrief at close.
  • Follow all base access rules, security procedures, and event staff directives without exception.

Requirements

  • Clean background. All staff must clear the background screening required for access to an active military installation. Base access is granted by the installation, not by V4V, and is a condition of the assignment. Credentials are submitted well in advance and cannot be arranged on the day of the event.
  • Valid government-issued photo identification. Non-U.S. citizens must present a valid passport documenting current legal status and may be subject to additional screening and biometric enrollment.
  • Clean-cut, polished, professional appearance. This is a military installation and a veteran audience. Presentation standards are strict and non-negotiable for all three days. V4V provides the branded uniform.
  • Ability to deliver a prepared script verbatim, with confidence and consistency, for the full duration of each shift.
  • Availability for all three event days plus mandatory paid pre-event script training. Partial availability will not be considered.
  • Ability to stand outdoors for extended periods in September San Diego weather, on your feet, engaging a steady stream of people.
  • Excellent verbal communication and the ability to build rapport quickly with strangers.
  • Reliable transportation to MCAS Miramar and the ability to report by 7:00 AM each day.

Preferred

  • Veteran, active duty, reserve, National Guard, or military family member.
  • Prior base access experience and familiarity with military customs and courtesies.
  • Prior event, brand ambassador, hospitality, or public-facing customer service experience.

Benefits

  • Referral program
