Responsibilities

• Conduct outdoor canvassing by walking through neighborhoods to introduce our organization’s initiatives and services.
• Engage in friendly, face-to-face conversations with residents to inform them about our programs and gather feedback.
• Promote community involvement by encouraging participation in events, campaigns, or fundraising efforts.
• Use mobile devices to record interactions, update contact information, and track progress in real-time.
• Negotiate with residents to secure support or commitments aligned with organizational goals.
• Maintain professional appearance and positive attitude during all interactions to foster trust and rapport.
• Collaborate with team members to strategize outreach plans and share insights from neighborhood visits.

Preferred

• Previous field sales or canvassing experience preferred; strong background in outdoor work is a plus.
• Demonstrated success in face-to-face communication, customer service, or community engagement roles.
• Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team.
• Bilingual skills are highly valued to effectively connect with diverse populations.
• Experience using mobile devices for data entry or communication enhances efficiency on the job.
• Knowledge of marketing strategies, fundraising techniques, or telemarketing can boost your effectiveness.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and walking for extended periods.
