Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Trade Shows & Industry Events: Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of KDP’s participation in major external trade shows and industry events (e.g., National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS), Food Marketing Institute SEE (FMI), large customer business conferences). Develop event vision, messaging, and booth experiences to showcase KDP’s portfolio and drive business goals. Manage all logistics and on-site production for events, including oversight of external event production agencies, ensuring seamless execution and a compelling brand presence.
  • Internal Sales Meetings & Events: Plan and execute large-scale internal events such as KDP’s National Sales Meeting (NSM) and Sales/Marketing conferences. Work closely with senior leaders to shape event agendas, content, and presentations that align with corporate strategy. Oversee “run of show” and content creation for key sessions to ensure engaging, aligned messaging that energizes and equips our sales organization.
  • Oversee headquarters to field sales trade communications and Communications Portal: Own and manage “The Source” – KDP’s internal Sales & Communications portal – as a critical communications tool for our salesforce. Oversee content strategy and updates on The Source, ensuring that sales teams have up-to-date, easily accessible resources and news (product launch materials, sales playbooks, marketing assets, etc.). Continuously improve the platform’s effectiveness in partnership with IT and gather user feedback to enhance engagement.
  • Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead a small team of trade communications and event specialists, providing direction, mentorship, and performance management. Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners – including Sales Leadership, Marketing, Category/Commercial Strategy, and Corporate Communications – to align event plans and internal communications with KDP’s broader goals. Serve as a key liaison, ensuring consistent messaging and seamless coordination across the organization’s matrix.
  • Vendor Management & Budgeting: Manage all external event production partners and vendors (event management agencies, designers, etc.), providing clear direction and maintaining high quality standards. Negotiate contracts and oversee vendor performance. Develop and control event budgets, demonstrate strong financial stewardship, and deliver impactful events within budget. Track expenditures and metrics to optimize return on investment.
