Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy & Enrollment Growth:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies supporting graduate enrollment, executive education, corporate prospect audiences, online programs, and undergraduate confirm and yield goals.
  • Collaborate with Enrollment Management, academic leadership, College leadership, and leaders responsible for executive and corporate engagement to align marketing activities with growth priorities.
  • Develop annual marketing plans, campaign calendars, and performance objectives aligned with graduate, executive, corporate, and undergraduate yield priorities.
  • Translate enrollment, executive education, and corporate audience engagement goals into measurable marketing initiatives and tactics.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive positioning, and audience behavior to inform strategy.
  • Graduate, Executive & Undergraduate Yield Communications:
  • Lead development of graduate and executive prospect communications throughout the audience decision journey.
  • Design communication strategies that support awareness, inquiry generation, applicant engagement, corporate prospect engagement, yield, and enrollment conversion.
  • Develop messaging frameworks tailored to graduate, executive, corporate, online, and admitted undergraduate audiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. ( Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information.)
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive professional experience in strategic marketing, demand generation, or campaign planning.
  • Enrollment Marketing Expertise: Established track record designing and executing full-funnel student recruitment strategies, from inquiry generation to applicant conversion.
  • Yield Strategy: Demonstrated experience developing targeted communications specifically for admitted-student engagement, confirm strategies, and undergraduate and graduate student yield outcomes.
  • B2B & Executive Marketing: Experience building audience-specific marketing strategies tailored to executive, professional, and corporate audiences.
  • CRM & Marketing Technology: Advanced proficiency using enrollment CRM platforms (e.g. Slate, Salesforce) and marketing automation technologies for audience segmentation.
  • Digital Advertising and Analytics: Strong experience managing digital advertising campaigns and using data analytics to measure, optimize, and report on marketing performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to partner with cross-functional leadership, including enrollment management (EMSS), central marketing (UMAC), and academic program leaders.
  • Project and Campaign Management: Demonstrated ability to translate institutional growth priorities into integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive measurable growth.

Preferred

  • STEM Domain Knowledge: Experience marketing technical academic programs, engineering degrees, or computing sciences.
  • Matrixed Environment: Prior experience navigating a complex, decentralized university, corporation, or nonprofit.
