Job Summary

Own the marketing strategy and brand efforts for a professional services firm, driving business development alignment and cross-channel impact.

  • Own the marketing strategy and brand across channels.
  • Lead and develop the Marketing Manager and, over time, a BD teammate.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on business development and client acquisition.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the firm's business goals
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the Marketing Manager, and eventually a Business Development team member
  • Oversee the firm's brand identity, messaging, and positioning across all channels
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, including our website/SEO vendor and blog content vendor, ensuring quality and alignment with firm strategy
  • Direct digital marketing efforts including paid advertising, email campaigns, and social media
  • Support attorney thought leadership through speaking engagements, publications, and media opportunities
  • Plan and oversee the firm's presence at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with referral sources, industry partners, and key clients
  • Oversee CRM management, marketing analytics, and reporting on campaign performance and ROI
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on business development strategy and client acquisition
  • Manage the marketing budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources
  • Coordinate public relations efforts and manage firm communications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 7+ years of marketing experience, with progressive leadership responsibility
  • Law firm or professional services marketing experience strongly preferred
  • Demonostrated experience managing and developing marketing staff and external vendors
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, content strategy, and business development
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, and analytics software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience marketing within regulated industries is a plus
