Responsibilities

  • Lead Partnership Strategy & Portfolio Growth
  • Define the long-range strategy, portfolio priorities, and growth agenda for Minecraft's In-Game Partnerships & Media Promotions pillar. Identify opportunities that expand audience reach, deepen player engagement, strengthen cultural relevance, and create business value through partnerships, promotions, and in-game experiences. Partner across Franchise Development, Business Development, Product, and Marketing to align investments and priorities against the franchise's long-term growth objectives.
  • Develop Partnership Frameworks, Playbooks & Marketing Systems
  • Translate franchise strategy into repeatable frameworks, activation models, messaging principles, and partner marketing playbooks that enable consistent execution across partners, regions, and franchise moments. Establish clear creative guardrails, planning processes, and toolkits that maintain a high Minecraft brand bar while increasing speed and scale. Build systems that empower teams and partners to execute effectively without sacrificing quality or player relevance.
  • Lead In-Game Activations & Media Promotions
  • Shape the strategy, positioning, and go-to-market approach for in-game partnership activations, media promotions, and integrated marketing programs. Partner closely with Product, Creative, Marketplace, and Marketing teams to ensure activations are authentic to Minecraft, meaningful to players, and valuable for partners. Guide cross-functional execution from strategic brief through launch, delivering programs that drive engagement, participation, and franchise impact.
  • Build and Scale the Operating Model
  • Design and evolve the operating model that enables partnership marketing to operate as a scalable and repeatable growth engine. Establish governance, prioritization frameworks, planning rhythms, briefing standards, and cross-functional ways of working that improve alignment and execution. Develop partner engagement models, agency approaches, and regional enablement mechanisms that increase organizational effectiveness as the portfolio grows.
  • Establish Measurement, Learning & Growth Optimization
  • Define the measurement strategy and success metrics used to evaluate partnership activations, media promotions, and long-term portfolio performance. Create learning systems that assess player engagement, audience impact, partner effectiveness, and business outcomes, ensuring insights inform future investments and priorities. Use data, research, and performance trends to continuously strengthen frameworks, playbooks, and activation strategies over time.

Requirements

  • 8+ years work experience at a branding agency or with product marketing, brand building, and/or strategy development OR equivalent experience.

Preferred

  • Experience within gaming, entertainment, media, consumer products, sports, technology, or franchise businesses.
  • Experience developing partner-led growth programs that connect brand, product, and consumer engagement objectives.
  • Experience building new operating models, planning frameworks, or partnership capabilities.
  • 6+ years of people management experience leading and developing teams.
