Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Global Agency Orchestration: The "Conductor": Serve as the primary point of contact for our global PR agencies. You will define high-level KPIs, manage multi-region budgets, and ensure agencies deliver elite-tier placements that move the needle on business objectives.
  • Global Alignment: Bridge the gap between EMEA, APAC, and the Americas, ensuring a unified brand voice while empowering local teams to pivot their pitches for regional nuances.
  • People Leadership & Influence: Team Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing communications team. You are responsible for their professional evolution and ensuring the department operates like a well-oiled machine.
  • Executive Advisor: Act as a strategic counselor to our founders and executive team, coaching them for high-pressure media appearances and shaping their internal leadership voice.
  • Elite Media Relations: Maintain a "gold-standard" network of journalists, analysts, and influencers across Fintech, Insurtech, and General Business sectors.
  • Channel Synergy: Oversee our owned channels (Blog, LinkedIn) to ensure a seamless feedback loop where earned media "wins" are amplified into long-tail brand equity.
  • One-Team Culture: Partner with the People Team to ensure our global wins and mission are communicated effectively to a decentralized workforce, maintaining a sense of community across time zones.
  • Thought Leadership: Develop sophisticated platforms for our founders, including ghostwriting high-stakes op-eds, keynote scripts, and visionary internal memos.
  • Crisis Management & Reputation Defense: Command & Control: Serve as the primary communications lead during global incidents. You are the "calm in the storm," drafting high-stakes statements for media and partners under intense deadlines.
  • Infrastructure: Design and maintain the Global Crisis Communications Playbook, ensuring all regions are trained on escalation protocols and pre-approved messaging.

Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years in Communications, PR, or Journalism, with at least 3+ years in a people-management role.
  • Industry Fluency: Deep experience in Insurtech, Fintech, or high-growth B2B SaaS is non-negotiable.
  • Agency Pedigree: You’ve either come from a top-tier PR agency or have a proven track record of managing them from the client side.
  • Global Perspective: You have successfully managed PR and communications across multiple international regions (AMER, EMEA, APAC).
  • Location: Must be based in San Francisco or New York for close collaboration with the Global Leadership team.
