Job Summary

Own the end-to-end internal/external communications ecosystem and governance, driving editorial, intranet, and AI-enabled optimization at scale.

  • Must-have: 5+ years in PR/communications with leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Standout: Stewardship of AI adoption across owned channels with guardrails and reviews.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own the connected ecosystem strategy (internal + external): Define channel roles, content types, and how messages and stories flow across web, email, intranet, and further internal communications channels —creating cohesive journeys from announcement moments to evergreen hubs.
  • Lead corporate web publishing + narrative clarity (external): Set editorial direction, templates/page types, governance, and lifecycle standards; translate enterprise priorities into clear, credible messaging frameworks (proof points, FAQs, explainers).
  • Lead C-Suite internal email strategy (internal): Establish voice, cadence, structure, segmentation, and approval pathways for executive communications; create repeatable playbooks for high-stakes moments to drive clarity and trust.
  • Own intranet strategy + governance (internal): Improve findability and usefulness through taxonomy, navigation, “single source of truth” hub design, content standards, and lifecycle practices (audits, updates, sunsetting).
  • Build operating rhythm + cross-functional alignment: Partner with Communications, People, Legal, and business teams to create predictable workflows, rapid-response protocols, and shared toolkits/templates that raise quality at scale.
  • Drive measurement and optimization: Define KPIs across channels; build dashboards and insight cadences; test and iterate on content structures, subject lines, formats, and posting patterns to improve outcomes.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team: Coach channel leads and web editors, set clear expectations, and strengthen craft and operational excellence.
  • Steward AI adoption across owned-channel ecosystem: Establish practical, governed ways to use AI to accelerate drafting, editing, summarization, versioning, and repurposing across web, email, intranet, and other platforms—while protecting accuracy, confidentiality, and Walmart’s voice through clear guardrails, review workflows, and training.
