Job Summary

Lead athletics communications efforts by directing coverage, supervising staff, and managing records and publications within NCAA rules.

  • Own the athletics communications program, including supervision and workflow for records, statistics, and publications.
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA rules while coordinating media relations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in athletic communications, media relations, public relations, or applicable field.Experience maintaining an athletically related web site.
  • Experience working with various computer graphic, design, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Stat Crew products, Netitor, Final Cut Pro, HTML, Windows/Mac OS preferred.
  • Management and supervisory experience.
  • Excellent skills in writing, editing, and creation of publications.Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Preferred

  • Master's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • More than 5 years' experience in an NCAA Division I program, conference office, or professional sports.
  • Strong/established media contacts.
