Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and publish content across SOWF’s digital platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  • Ensure all social media content aligns with SOWF’s mission and integrates with website updates and email communications.
  • Strategically grow and maintain follower engagement across platforms, tracking KPIs to optimize outreach.
  • Implement and maintain an editorial calendar featuring milestone events, Special Operations history, testimonials, and fundraising campaigns.
  • Monitor and actively engage with SOWF’s online community, fostering connections with supporters and donors.
  • Monitor SOWF mentions across platforms and other media outlets.
  • Assist in developing and executing digital fundraising initiatives, including peer-to-peer campaigns, matching gift drives, and online giving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Development team to leverage digital marketing for corporate sponsorships, donor contributions, and grant opportunities.
  • Track donor engagement and revenue trends via DonorPerfect and other CRM tools, ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Assist in designing donor and sponsorship presentation materials, including PowerPoint decks, digital collateral, and campaign summaries.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or equivalent experience in digital marketing and nonprofit development.
  • 3-5 years of experience in social media management and digital content creation (nonprofit experience preferred).
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and design skills to develop compelling digital content.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, WordPress, Constant Contact, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, DonorPerfect and Hootsuite
  • Experience creating online donation forms, event landing pages, and peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of donor engagement, cause-related marketing, and corporate sponsorship outreach.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, social media metrics, and email marketing strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a mission-driven organization and effectively communicate SOWF’s impact to diverse audiences.
  • Potential local and out-of-state travel for events and promotional opportunities.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned to support SOWF’s mission.
