Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create, proofread and publish engaging content, as well as responsible for the style and voice of all content – digital and traditional
  • Analyze and optimize content performance across all digital platforms
  • Optimize content according to SEO
  • Manage the posting, reviews and the overall reputation management process across our social media channels
  • Understanding of legal, regulatory environment and experience within a highly controlled environment
  • Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and user engagement metrics
  • Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic
  • Build a following on social media through rich content
  • Determines which stories make it into the publication line-up, aligning with short-term and long-term marketing targets
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan and develop site content, style and layout
  • Ssupports the mission and vision of the Methodist Healthcare System. Understands and is committed to helping the Methodist Healthcare System and its associated facilities achieve its goals.
  • Must learn and comply with System and facility safety policies and rules; must use appropriate safety equipment and procedures at all times; must immediately report all unsafe conditions to supervisors; must be familiar with all safety features of equipment, tools or materials encompassed by job duties; and must check with supervisors (prior to job performance) if there is a question as to the safe procedure to be used for any job function.
  • Adheres to the MHS Code of Conduct and demonstrates ethical behavior as expected by our patients, colleagues and the community. Understands the personal obligation to report any activity that appears to violate applicable laws, rules regulations or the Code of Conduct itself.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or related field
  • 2+ years minimum experience with content writing and development, or similar role in an agency
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platform
  • Knowledgeable with Social platforms, SEO strategies, CMS and HTML
  • Experience with online reputation management
