Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design social media content — graphics, carousels, stories, and short-form video — for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
  • Turn program highlights, student milestones, and events into scroll-stopping posts that reflect our brand.
  • Build reusable templates and a consistent visual style across platforms.
  • Support the content calendar — helping plan, produce, and schedule posts alongside the marketing team.
  • Contribute to light UX and web design projects (landing pages, simple graphics for the website) as we relaunch our brand.
  • Bring ideas — we want your eye on trends, formats, and what makes people stop scrolling.

Requirements

  • Education: currently enrolled in — or a recent graduate of — an associate’s or bachelor’s program in graphic design, UX/UI design, digital media, marketing, communications, or a related field. Exceptional self-taught designers with a strong portfolio are welcome to apply.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Canva and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign).
  • A strong sense of layout, type, and color, and an eye for clean, modern design.
  • Familiarity with major social platforms and current content formats.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to take creative direction and feedback.
  • A portfolio or work samples — required with your application (a link is fine).

Preferred

  • Figma or other UX/UI design experience.
  • Short-form video editing (CapCut, Premiere, or similar) and motion graphics.
  • Photography, or experience shooting content on a phone.
  • Interest in workforce development, education, or nonprofit work.
