Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage school districts, building a strong pipeline through targeted outreach, networking, conferences, and referrals.
  • Build relationships with district leaders, understand their priorities, and guide them from initial interest to commitment.
  • Develop and deliver a smooth customer journey from lead generation through to onboarding, with collaboration with Marketing, Customer Success, Learning, Product, and Operations.
  • Initiate district data privacy agreement processes, ensuring a smooth handoff to the Customer Success team.
  • Maintain accurate customer and pipeline information in Salesforce, using data to track progress and work towards agreed acquisition and growth goals.
  • Represent the Foundation at conferences, district meetings, and other external events, clearly communicating our mission and the value of our programs.

Requirements

  • Experience in customer growth, partnerships, business development, or a similar role, ideally within K–12 education or edtech.
  • A good understanding of US school systems and how districts make decisions about new programs, products, or resources.
  • A track record of working toward measurable growth, acquisition, partnership, or customer success goals.
  • Highly organized and proactive, with experience managing multiple customers and workstreams at different stages.
  • A clear and confident communicator, comfortable engaging with educators, school leaders, and district decision-makers.
  • Skilled in using data and feedback to understand customer needs and improve conversion.
  • Experience using a CRM (e.g. Salesforce) to track relationships, activity, and progress.
  • A strong alignment with the Foundation’s mission and values, particularly around educational equity and access.
