Own end-to-end video production from concept to launch, directing pre-sale concepting, client liaison, budgets, and post-production collaboration to deliver high-quality branded content.

Responsibilities
- Brainstorm creative, high-quality video concepts at a range of budgets in response to RFPs
- Lead concepting and creation of video pitches, including bids and treatments in pre-sale phase.
- If needed, execute creative video concepts in collaboration with internal and external productions vendors in post-sale.
- Lead video production schedules, selects , rough cuts and final cuts in collaboration with production partners, clients and internal post-production team.
- Serve as client-facing contact in pre-sale phase of video production, including effectively communicating complex video ideas and proposals, crafting client correspondence, managing on-set experience and post-production communications, and effectively managing scope.
- Draft and negotiate contracts. Maintain all reporting and documentation around invoicing, release forms , etc .
- Ensure that the department is maximizing the potential of each project in all stages of production and identify where internal resources could help keep budgets at a desirable level.
- Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.
Requirements
- 6+ years of film production experience
- Experience managing and maintaining client relationships
- Keen business sense, and an intimate knowledge of all aspects of commercial film production and editing.
- Experience field and line producing for branded content or commercial production
- A demonstrated track record in creative execution and performance
- Experience managing a slate of multiple projects simultaneously
- Manage the creative process from concept to launch
- Work with teams including Editorial, Legal, Risk Management, Finance
- Experience in digital media workflows and technology
- Knowledge of the social media and branded content landscape
Preferred
- BFA, BA and/or MA in TV, film, communications, journalism , advertising .
