Job Summary

Own the on-site production and post-production workflow for Colgate athletics social content, from shoots to hype videos and video board material.

  • Content Creation: shoot, edit, and deliver social posts, highlights, graphics, and cinematic clips for the athletics accounts.
  • Storytelling & Campaigns: collaborate across departments to surface student-athlete milestones and game-day narratives.
  • Media Day and Events: cover media days and home events, with travel as needed and distribution across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Own on-site content production for Colgate athletics social accounts, including videography, photography, and graphics, plus post-production.
  • Coordinate with departments to develop storytelling ideas, produce game-day hype videos, and video board content.
  • Shoot at home events and media days, travel with teams as needed, distributing content across multimedia platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Media Production, Communications, Digital Media, Marketing or similar. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Proven track record of professional consistency and punctuality in the university-setting.
  • Has a minimum understanding of industry-standards regarding cameras, camera settings, sports shooting requirements, and lighting equipment.
  • Ability to communicate, both verbally and nonverbally, in a professional manner during timely, stressful situations.
  • Basic working knowledge and comfortability managing athletics-branded social media mediums. Ability to keep up with social media and digital trends.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.) and Apple computers. Basic comfortability in capturing video using Sony equipment preferred.
  • A current valid driver’s license, in accordance with the University’s Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle Use Policy is required.

Preferred

  • Division I experience is preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in digital media, content creation, graphic design, or related field. Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will also be considered.
