Job Summary

Own the end to end corporate communications flow for a member based financial co op, aligning external PR with internal messaging and digital channels.

  • Messaging Ownership: Draft and edit press releases, announcements, and newsletters across channels to maintain consistent brand voice.
  • Media Relations: Handle media inquiries and coordinate PR activities with stakeholders.
  • Channel Governance: Manage timelines, intranet, email, and social messaging to optimize performance and visibility.

Job Description

  • The Corporate Communications Associate will support the planning, creation, and distribution of internal and external communications that promote the credit union’s brand, services, and member-focused initiatives.
  • Daily responsibilities include drafting and editing press releases, announcements, newsletters, and other corporate messages for multiple channels.
  • The role will assist in managing media inquiries, supporting public relations activities, and coordinating communication timelines with internal stakeholders.
  • The associate will also help maintain consistent messaging across digital platforms, support internal communication campaigns, and track communication performance to recommend improvements.
  • Demonstrated experience in Corporate Communications and Internal & External Communications, with the ability to adapt messages for different audiences.
  • Ability to draft, edit, and distribute Press Releases and other media-facing materials in alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Communication and Public Relations, including relationship-building with internal stakeholders and external partners or media.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Comfort working on-site in a collaborative environment and managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with common office software and basic knowledge of digital channels (email, intranet, social media) for corporate communications.
  • Familiarity with financial services or member-based organizations is preferred.
  • Experience handling media inquiries
