Job Summary

Own copy creation and quality control across channels, aligning every piece with brand voice while collaborating with the Content Team to refresh guidelines and produce marketing assets for multiple stakeholders.

  • Content Production: Write and edit email, web, report, social, and collateral copy that supports campaigns and external communications.
  • Brand Governance: Enforce voice guidelines and help update them as needed to reflect evolving messaging.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with clients and internal teams to deliver cohesive assets and ensure deadlines are met.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Writes copy for the organization’s ever-evolving needs as assigned by the Content Director. This includes email content, direct mail pieces, internal and external reports, website copy, social media posts, press releases, print articles, scripts, marketing material, and other collateral.
  • Edits and proofreads content that is generated within and tasked to the Communications Division.
  • Ensures all assigned copy adheres closely to brand and voice style guidelines.
  • Works with the Content Team to update brand and voice guidelines when necessary.
  • Serves as desk reporter, conducting interviews as needed.
  • With the Content Team, creates marketing assets for use by the organization and other departments.
  • Liaises with clients on projects as needed.
  • Fulfills all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Arts in English, communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two or more years of demonstrated experience in written communications for print, video, and/or broadcast is required.
  • A proven record of direct response writing skills is preferred.
  • Demonstrates the ability and agility to work on tight deadlines.
  • Displays a proven ability to edit for consistency, accuracy, and competency.
  • Can multi-task and stay highly organized.
  • Can prioritize projects.
  • Displays strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Is able and willing to occasionally travel domestically and internationally.
  • Attends and actively participates in Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
