Job Summary

Own the end-to-end story concepting process for mophie and ZAGG, translating brand positioning and consumer insights into briefs and channel-ready content, while coordinating cross-functional inputs and ensuring brand consistency across campaigns.

  • Drive ideation, briefs, and direction for creative partners across multiple channels.
  • Collaborate with creative, email, digital, social, paid media, and affiliate teams to keep work on time and on brand.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Story Ideation & Concepting: Generate story ideas and content concepts for mophie and ZAGG, working from brand positioning, product truths, consumer insight, and cultural relevance.
  • Develop concepts from initial thought through to a clear, articulated idea that a creative team can build against.
  • Contribute actively in brainstorms and concept sessions, bringing considered ideas rather than waiting for direction.
  • Build a working understanding of the consumer audiences each brand serves and use that understanding to shape stories that connect with the people we are trying to reach.
  • Content Briefs & Creative Direction: Write clear, thorough content briefs that translate story concepts into actionable direction for creative partners, on a daily and weekly cadence.
  • Ensure each brief includes the objective, audience, key message, channel requirements, deliverables, and timing so creative teams have what they need to execute well.
  • Maintain a consistent briefing rhythm that keeps a steady flow of content moving through the pipeline across both brands.
  • Track briefs through the production process, answer questions along the way, and review work against the original intent.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner across creative, email, digital, social, paid media, and affiliate marketing to ensure brand stories are developed and adapted appropriately for each channel.
  • Coordinate inputs, timelines, and requirements across these functions so campaigns and always-on content launch on schedule and on brand.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in brand marketing, content, social, or a related creative discipline, ideally within consumer electronics, mobile accessories, CPG, or a lifestyle brand.
  • Experience developing creative or content briefs, or comparable experience translating ideas into direction for creative teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
  • Exposure to omni-channel marketing, including any combination of email, digital, social, paid media, or affiliate, is a strong plus.
  • Ideation: you can start from a blank page and develop a story idea worth producing, and you can explain the thinking behind it.
  • Writing: clear, concise, and versatile. You can write a content brief, a campaign narrative, and channel copy with equal care.
  • Consumer orientation: you consider the audience on the other end of the work and let that understanding shape the concept.
  • Organization: you manage detail well and keep a high volume of work moving without items falling through the cracks.
  • Collaboration: you work effectively with creative and channel partners and build trust through reliability and quality of thought.
  • Tools: comfortable in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management platforms. Experience with Figma, Smartsheets, or similar is a plus.

Preferred

  • You take ownership of your work and address issues before they become someone else's to solve.
  • You are organized in a way that holds up under a high volume of concurrent work across multiple brands and deadlines.
  • You are curious about the consumer, the category, and the culture, and you bring that curiosity into the ideas you develop.
  • You can carry an idea from initial concept through to finished, in-market work.
  • You are early in your career and motivated to build a strong marketing foundation.

Benefits

  • Generous PTO – Plus two floating holidays to use as you choose.
  • 401(k) Match – Company contributions to support your long-term financial goals.
  • Employee Product Perks – Hands-on access to ZAGG’s full portfolio of industry-leading products.
  • Growth Culture
