Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy & Creation (40%): Develop engaging, high-quality content for a variety of platforms - including digital and print advertising, email campaigns, videos, sales collateral, web pages, blog articles, and social media.
  • Repurpose existing content into multiple formats (e.g., infographics, videos, social posts) to expand reach, engagement, and conversions.
  • Collaborate with external digital agency on keyword strategy and SEO best practices.
  • Implement content workflows that ensure brand consistency, accessibility, and quality.
  • Partner with internal teams and designer to align messaging and develop fresh campaign concepts.
  • Conduct market and competitive audits to identify strategic opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Content Planning & Project Management (15%): Manage and maintain a comprehensive content calendar aligned with key campaigns and organizational goals.
  • Coordinate content distribution across owned, earned, and paid channels to maximize visibility.
  • Continuously refine content creation and review processes to improve team efficiency.
  • Marketing Automation & Website Management (25%): Serve as the in-house expert for marketing automation (SugarMarket), managing workflows, web forms, email campaigns, and lead-nurturing programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, or a related field.
  • A passion for storytelling and an innate curiosity - always asking "What could make this even better?"
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt voice, structure, and messaging for different formats and channels (from short-form ads and social posts to long-form web pages and articles).
  • Comfort writing for and tailoring messages to multiple audiences (e.g., camps, campgrounds, municipalities, attractions) while maintaining a cohesive brand voice.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and content optimization strategies.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools (SugarMarket preferred) and CMS platforms (WordPress experience a plus).
  • Proficiency with analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
  • Creative problem-solver with strong project management and collaboration skills.
