Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Content & Tourism Ambassador Program Manager blends content creation, curation, and digital storytelling with in-person tourism advocacy. In this role, you will represent Southeast Montana's distinctive mix of Western culture, outdoor adventure, and historic towns across our channels and in communities throughout the region. You will make sure every piece of content reflects the region's voice, brand, and tourism goals while inspiring visitation and community engagement. This position also oversees the Regional Ambassador Program including recruiting, promoting and support of participants.

Requirements

  • Strong content development skills, including writing, editing, and storytelling across digital and print channels.
  • Experience with social media management, website content updates, and basic digital marketing practices.
  • Ability to coordinate programs or community initiatives, including recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers or ambassadors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with partners, stakeholders, and community members.
  • Organizational and project management skills, including managing calendars, deadlines, and multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Proficiency with common office and collaboration tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and online project tools).
  • Knowledge of or interest in tourism, destination marketing, or community development; familiarity with Southeast Montana is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, tourism, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Salary range $50,000-$55,000 annually DOE, generous performance based annual bonus and comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, dental, vision insurance – 75% employer paid premium; life, and long-term disability insurance; Paid Time Off; Flexible spending accounts; paid holidays and floating holidays; 401(k) 3% employer contribution & up to 4% match (must meet eligibility requirements)
