Job Summary

Own donor engagement, major gifts, and community outreach to fund and widen awareness for HSCI.

  • Own donor stewardship and major gift fundraising, coordinating campaigns, events, and communications.
  • Plan and run fundraising campaigns and events with budgets, targets, and cross team alignment.
  • Build local partnerships and multi channel outreach to grow support and volunteer activity.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all donations are acknowledged, with special emphasis tailored to those making larger donations
  • Oversee and assist in the research and application of grant opportunities from public and private sources to secure funding.
  • Plan and execute major fundraising campaigns including a detailed budget for each, ensuring goals are met or exceeded.
  • Represent HSCI at community events, fostering positive relationships with local businesses, leaders, and organizations.
  • Develop and execute a community engagement strategy to raise awareness about HSCI’s mission and services.
  • Serve as a liaison to community groups to promote collaboration and support.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute small to large-scale fundraising events to engage donors and the community.
  • Collaborate with board members and committees on major events.
  • Facilitate and maintain a master event calendar, ensuring alignment across stakeholders
  • Build partnerships with local businesses through programs like Friends of HSCI and Pawtner initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, marketing, public relations, or a related field (required).
  • 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, event planning, or community engagement, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
  • Demonstrated success in donor cultivation, grant writing, and securing major donors
