Own and drive community engagement for CAY with a focus on African American and York County networks, events, and donor initiatives.

Community Engagement & Events: plan and run educational programming and cultural events that connect with families and supporters.
Relationships & Communications: build trust with community members, respond to inquiries, and manage social media signals.
Fundraising & Grants: identify grant opportunities and develop legacy giving programs to support the mission.

Work collaboratively with internal teams to develop and implement community engagement strategies
Organize and manage community events and educational and cultural programming such as presentations, discussions, performances, and showcases (i.e. Cultural Thanksgiving, MLK Day of Service…)
Give CAY campus tours or presentations to visitors and/or community groups, highlighting specific stories or experiences as needed
Build and maintain positive relationships with community members and CAY families and supporters by responding to social media posts and responding to requests for information
Assist in the development of marketing materials and campaigns to promote community engagement
Develop a network of support within the African American, York City, and York County community in coordination with the COO
Attend public events and become active in civic community groups to represent CAY
Investigate and submit grant opportunities and philanthropic gifts to support the mission of CAY
Develop a program for legacy giving among CAY donors
