Job Summary

Own social media storytelling and cross campus campaigns with a focus on collaboration, content customization by platform, and alignment with university initiatives.

  • Platform strategy: Lead content creation, engagement monitoring, and a weekly calendar to keep messaging on brand across School and CHS channels.
  • Storytelling & partnerships: Identify storytelling opportunities with faculty, staff, students, and alumni; coordinate with CHS and Hospitality partners on campus-wide initiatives.
  • Expertise & integration: Act as social media expert for internal and external partners and tailor School content per platform while ensuring multi-channel campaign integration.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing creative and technical elements of social media, executing strategies to build brand loyalty across platforms, and integrating campaigns with college and university-wide initiatives. Managing content creation, online engagement monitoring, and a weekly content calendar, ensuring strategic and consistent messaging.
  • Collaborates with faculty, staff, students, and alumni to identify and prioritize impactful storytelling opportunities. Participates in monthly social media liaison meetings with the Hospitality program, and weekly communications meetings with the CHS team. Stays up to date on social media trends and proactively recommends promotional ideas across all social media platforms. Partners with CHS comm team leaders to promote college-wide initiatives and events across CHS social media channels.
  • Serves as the social media expert and advocate for both internal and external partners.
  • Customizes School content to strategically align with each platform.
  • Collaborates with faculty and CHS Marketing and Communications Office to develop social media strategy to determine the placement of content across School and CHS social media platforms; collaborates strategically with other campus partners to ensure seamless campaign integration across platforms as part of a multi-channel approach.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field
  • Level I- Bachelor’s degree
  • Level II- Bachelor’s degree plus 2 year of experience in marketing and communications services to include print journalism
  • Substitutions allowed for Experience: Graduate degrees accepted in lieu of experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.
