Job Summary

The role leads the design and execution of a multi-channel marketing program, coordinating stakeholder communications, supervising student interns, and collaborating with Epicenter centers to drive goals and tell compelling stories.

  • Own marketing plan development and cross-channel campaigns reaching students and partners.
  • Mentor and supervise student marketing interns and ambassadors, guiding content creation, events, and engagement.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes a comprehensive marketing plan that reaches the wide range of stakeholders including students, campus partners and off-campus stakeholders
  • Develops marketing/communication materials from concept to execution including the following channels: social media, printed flyers, website content, newsletters
  • Develops and communicates department information on various projects to its stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Responsible for monitoring effectiveness of marketing/communication tactics and adjusting communication plans as necessary
  • In conjunction with the Epicenter owners, develop, track, achieve, and report on short and long term goals
  • Routinely engage in review and feedback of marketing materials and events
  • Support the Sales team on the development and execution of outreach materials for the housing application process and recruitment opportunities (e.g. tabling).
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor student marketing interns and ambassadors, providing direction on content creation, event promotion, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Work with Epicenter Centers: Sorenson Impact Institute and the Center for Business, Health and Prosperity as "clients" on a needed basis to market their needs.
  • Work with marketing leadership to identify and develop compelling stories highlighting residents, student experiences, speakers, programs, and outcomes through written, visual, and multimedia content.

Requirements

  • EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
  • Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:
  • Senior Supervisor, Marketing Communications Management: Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.
  • Manager, Marketing Communications Management: Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to five years of professional experience in marketing, communications, public relations, brand management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing multi-channel marketing and communications campaigns.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences.
  • Experience creating content for websites, social media platforms, email newsletters, and print materials.
  • Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), email marketing platforms, and social media management tools.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, including editing and proofreading communications materials.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
