Job Summary

Own mission storytelling across content, social, and donor channels to show conservation impact, while coordinating with partners and a PR firm to tell cohesive stories that move audiences and fundraising.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Execute communications plans that support organizational priorities and campaigns.
  • Write, edit, and publish content across digital, donor, and partner communications.
  • Maintain a consistent organizational voice across all communications channels.
  • Help develop messaging and content that convey the impact of conservation to diverse audiences.
  • Manage day-to-day social media across all platforms, including content planning, publishing, community engagement, and performance tracking.
  • Grow audience engagement through thoughtful, mission-driven content.
  • Coordinate digital content around key campaigns, exhibitions, and organizational announcements.
  • Monitor analytics and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with conservation partners to gather stories, updates, photography, and impact information.
  • Translate partner work into compelling content for donors and public audiences.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or content creation.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit, conservation, cultural, or other mission-driven organization strongly preferred.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience managing social media and digital communications.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.

Preferred

  • Experience coordinating with PR agencies or creative vendors.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and social media analytics.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms and website content management systems.
  • An eye for compelling visual storytelling through photography and video.
