Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assists in maintaining relationships with local, national, and international media
  • Compiles and distributes press releases, news articles, and other relevant communications materials.
  • Monitors media coverage and creates comprehensive
  • Contributes to the creation of engaging and compelling content for press releases, website updates, and social media platforms.
  • Assists in writing and editing content for various communication

Requirements

  • Enrolled in or recently graduated with a degree in Public Relations or Communications.
  • the ideal candidate will have a well-rounded ability to write with a clear and concise voice and proper grammar, following AP Style Guidelines. Interns will help write stories for the website, recaps, previews, and other various written content, making the ability to write crucial to the success of the program.
  • Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends to attend Real Salt Lake, Utah Royals, and Monarchs games.
  • Strong time management skills, administrative aptitude, organization, and customer service skills.
  • High energy with the ability to remain focused while working independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner, both written and verbal.
  • Able to successfully pass a background check and become SafeSport Certified.

Preferred

  • A good understanding of soccer is preferred.
