Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate all marketing and communication requests for graduate programs within Mays Business School.
  • Act as primary contact for advertising agency initiatives for each individual graduate program.
  • Develop brand strategies for each program and work with third-party agency to execute against each strategy.
  • Act as liaison and point of communication for all marketing needs, proactively understanding upcoming events and initiatives.
  • Works on requests to assess needs, create a plan, communicate with relevant staff members, assign resources, communicate updates and changes, meet deadlines and evaluate project success post launch.
  • Operate and understand the Mays Business School project management platform.
  • Coordinate photographers and videographers when needed for unit-specific events and initiatives.
  • Create, launch and manage email campaigns in various email marketing platforms, make website updates in web platforms, assist with social media campaigns on unit-specific social platforms, launch and monitor campaign performance in Google Analytics, work in other content management systems.
  • Collaborate with university analytics team to monitor and deliver performance updates on advertising initiatives produced by the marketing team.
  • Write and edit copy for social media posts, email campaigns, website updates and brochures for unit initiatives within Mays Business School.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field.
  • Three years of experience in communications, digital marketing or marketing field.

Preferred

  • Five years of experience working as a communications coordinator, communications specialist, project manager or similar role on a marketing team.
  • Experience working with or for advertising agencies.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan and execute short and long-term projects that make efficient use of resources, meet deadlines, achieve objectives and maintain morale among staff through the process.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizations skills with the ability to communicate ideas and concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to make presentations of different ideas.
  • Strong initiative, commitment to lifelong learning and willingness to ask questions.
  • Ability to bring fresh ideas, individual voice and enthusiasm to the team.
  • Ability to balance multiple, simultaneous priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work as a motivated self-starter with exceptional time management skills.
