Job Summary

Own the market intelligence and advocacy-driven activities that shape channel strategy, competitive positioning, and on-premise execution for two markets.

  • Channel & Market Intelligence: translate in-market programming and competitor activity into prioritized plans and whitespace opportunities.
  • Advocacy Leadership: align advocacy with commercial teams and coach paid and trade engagement leads to sharper market impact.
  • Insights & Reporting: deliver regular market recaps, analyses, and strategic recommendations to leadership and client stakeholders.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Legal and Compliance Accountability . Maintain all legal and marketing code guidelines
  • Channel and Competitive Intelligence
  • - Evaluate the effectiveness of the client’s in-market programming, activations, menu placements, and advocacy initiatives.
  • - Monitor and assess competitor supplier activity, including programming strategies, promotional tactics, sponsorships, incentives, menu visibility, pricing activity, and trade engagement.
  • - Identify emerging trends in cocktail culture, premiumization, consumer behavior, account priorities, and hospitality experiences.
  • - Synthesize market findings into actionable insights that support commercial planning, customer strategy, portfolio priorities, and brand investment decisions.
  • - Deliver regular reporting, market recaps, competitive analyses, and strategic recommendations to leadership and designated client stakeholders.
  • Commercial Strategy Support
  • - Partner closely with the client’s commercial teams to inform channel strategy and customer engagement priorities for (2) markets.
  • - Support quarterly planning processes through intelligence gathering and trend analysis.
  • - Identify whitespace opportunities and competitive vulnerabilities within the on-premise channel.
  • Team Leadership & Field Engagement
  • - Manage, coach, and develop (2) Advocacy Leads focused on trade engagement, education and market intelligence collection.
  • - Foster collaboration between advocacy and commercial teams to improve communication and strategic alignment.
  • Agency Accountabilities. Complete accurate and timely management of agency initiatives including:
  • - Budget and expense management.
  • - All reporting responsibilities.
  • - Tracking and management of performance data using agency-appointed platforms.
  • What Success Looks Like:
  • - Commercial growth for spirits portfolio across a designated market. - Quality and impact of intelligence reporting and strategic recommendations.- Improved effectiveness of on-premise programming and activations.- Increased competitive understanding across priority markets.- Strong collaboration and alignment across advocacy, sales, and marketing teams.- Development and performance of Advocacy Lead direct reports.- Positive 360º feedback from manager, market team and client partners. - Share of success stories through strategic communications such that progress is clearly. communicated to and understood by both agency and client.
