Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive B2B content calendar and strategy, designed to solidify our brand as the definitive authority in the space.
  • Support the advanced stages of the content marketing process — from predictive trend research and ideation to publication, promotion, measurement, and revenue-impact optimization.
  • Create elite, deeply researched thought-leadership content, including comprehensive whitepapers, trend reports, and strategic blogs that capture enterprise executive attention and drive high-quality pipeline.
  • Copy edit and refine core content assets to ensure flawless delivery that adheres to an advanced brand voice, tone, and rigorous editorial guidelines.
  • Write authoritative, high-conversion video scripts and multimedia narratives that translate complex enterprise ecommerce concepts into engaging, digestible content.
  • Structure and optimize all digital assets to ensure maximum visibility across traditional search engines (SEO) and emerging AI-driven answer engines and LLMs (AEO).
  • Conduct high-level interviews with internal and external C-suite executives and industry subject matter experts (SMEs) to extract proprietary insights, data, and market trends.
  • Track and report on content performance and attribution metrics, collaborating with marketing leadership to assess effectiveness, identify optimization opportunities, and ensure content initiatives meet strict key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of experience working as an industry journalist, senior content strategist, or a recognized thought leader specifically within the B2B ecommerce, distribution, or manufacturing domain.
  • Deep domain expertise in the mechanics of enterprise manufacturers and/or distributors with predominantly B2B selling models — how they go to market, and the role product data and ecommerce/digital transformation play in their growth.
  • Exceptional writing abilities across premium long-form and short-form content types, demonstrating a proven track record of publishing content that shapes industry opinions and moves enterprise buyers.
  • Advanced, up-to-date knowledge of technical SEO and AEO frameworks, with a practical understanding of how to structure content to be cited by AI search models.
  • Strong research, fact-checking, executive interviewing, and data-analysis abilities, allowing you to build content based on proprietary market data.
  • Exceptional project management skills and strategic autonomy, with a proven ability to build a content road map from scratch and deliver premium assets on schedule with minimal oversight.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working alongside executive stakeholders, as well as web, creative, marketing, and product teams.
  • Familiarity with the buying dynamics of dealer-, distributor-, and channel-led commerce and the industrial sectors we serve, such as: Industrial supplies; Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO); Electrical; Building materials and construction supplies; Janitorial and sanitation; Safety; Chemical pharmaceuticals; Heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR); Plumbing/pipe, valve, and fitting (PVF).

Preferred

  • An existing personal brand, following, or frequent publication record within the enterprise technology or industrial distribution, B2B manufacturing, or MRO ecosystem.
