Drive corporate communications and media relations for Energy Transfer’s Partnership, encompassing internal/external messaging, crisis readiness, and brand representation across channels.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage the PR department’s expenses, including invoice submittals, coding, and tracking. Coordinate with external vendors, agencies, and contractors on communications initiatives.
  • Create, edit, and schedule content for multiple social media platforms. Capture and edit short-form video, photos, and graphics for digital channels. Act as on-camera brand representative.
  • Manage social media community engagement. Stay informed on industry trends, media developments, and emerging social media practices. Track performance metrics and help prepare monthly analytics reports.
  • Interact with the media, including serving as a spokesperson on both Partnership and project-specific issues.
  • Monitor media coverage and compile reports summarizing news mentions and sentiment.
  • Support crisis communications planning and response as needed. Assist with planning and logistics for company events, site visits, and media tours.
  • Enhance the Partnership’s environmental, health and safety communications initiatives.
  • Develop and execute PR programs to position the Partnership as a good corporate citizen for employees, investors, regulatory agencies and customers.
  • Develop and implement strategic internal communications and public relations plans that inform and engage employees on the Partnership.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate communications, PR, or a similar role.
  • Excellent writer and communicator.
  • Solid understanding of AP writing style.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of excel with some math skills.
  • Execution focus and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Some travel will be required.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Journalism or Marketing Communications is preferred.
