Job Summary

Own and optimize the Gaming Community program with cross-functional coordination, data-driven storytelling, and authentic gamer engagement across assets and events.

  • Own day-to-day execution and reporting; translate work into actionable timelines for the community program.
  • Coordinate strategies with Digital Marketing, CRM, Media, Creative, Brand, Membership, and partners to drive real-time, culturally relevant content and activations.
  • Play a data-driven role in shaping KPIs, partnerships, and long-term strategy through insights from trends and community feedback.

Job Description

Responsibilities - Own day-to-day execution of the Gaming Community program, ensuring all workstreams, deliverables, enhancements, and innovations are executed on time, with high quality, and translated into actionable plans and timelines. - Manage the gaming content editorial calendar, providing clear prioritization and direction while monitoring industry trends, community sentiment, and cultural moments to inform real-time content and engagement opportunities. - Partner cross-functionally across Digital Marketing, DAT, CRM, Category Management, Media, Creative, Brand, Membership, BBY Ads, and external partners to align strategies, messaging, and execution across channels. - Leverage data, insights, competitive analysis, and community feedback to track KPIs, optimize performance, inform long-term strategy, and deliver reporting and recommendations to leadership. - Participate in industry and in-store events while fostering authentic community engagement, gathering feedback, and identifying opportunities to strengthen the gamer experience. - Own the identification and activation of Best Buy and partner assets (e.g., Membership, App, Retail, Media), manage external agencies and partners, and continuously assess new capabilities, partnerships, and opportunities to deliver culturally relevant, high-impact experiences for gamers. Requirements - 3+ years of demonstrated deep understanding for the gaming industry and culture, including major platforms (console, PC, mobile), publishers, franchises, release cycles, hardware ecosystems, and the role of creators and communities. - Proven ability to stay current on gaming trends, player sentiment, and cultural moments (e.g., new game launches, platform shifts, franchise milestones, industry events, and community conversations) and translate those insights into timely recommendations or content decisions. - Familiarity with adjacent gaming categories such as gaming accessories, collectibles and trading cards, and how these intersect with gamer interests and purchasing behavior. - 1+ years of demonstrated comfort and hands‑on experience using AI tools (e.g., generative AI, large language models, AI‑enabled analytics, or social/trend listening platforms) in day‑to‑day work, with the ability to share concrete examples of how AI has improved speed, quality, or insight in past roles. - 3+ years experience leveraging social media platforms for trend analysis, influencer identification, and audience insights, along with partnering with internal teams and agencies to execute content and real-time engagement - 1+ years of demonstrated experience in project or program coordination across multiple teams. - Strong analytical skills, with 3+ years of interpreting data and applying insights to recommendations, especially in a fast-paced environment with a test and learn mindset. - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and operational excellence. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Nice to Have - 2+ years experience applying gaming or collectibles/cards knowledge to marketing, content, community, or engagement programs, ensuring authenticity, relevance, and cultural credibility with core gaming audiences. - Experience in consumer electronics, retail, or technology industries. - Familiarity with integrated marketing, relationship marketing, brand strategy, or customer engagement programs. - Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Experience designing AI‑enabled workflows or prompt strategies for marketing, content, or community programs, including responsible/ethical use of AI in customer‑facing work.
