Job Summary

Own data engineering for healthcare datasets, building and maintaining pipelines, ensuring quality and governance, and delivering curated data to analytics partners.

  • Data pipelines: design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT and data access for analysts.
  • Data quality and governance: implement controls, security, and documentation of schemas and workflows.
  • Collaboration: partner with analysts to understand requirements and troubleshoot data issues.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, build, and maintenance of data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
  • Assist in ingesting and integrating claims, coverage, SP/HUB, contracting, and other third-party data sets
  • Implement and follow data quality controls, governance, and security protocols
  • Contribute to documentation of data schemas, transformations, and workflows
  • Partner with Data Analysts and Strategists to understand data requirements and deliver access to curated datasets
  • Troubleshoot data issues, escalate risks, and collaborate to solve problems

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of professional experience
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and Python or R
  • Foundational exposure to cloud platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, Azure), ETL/ELT tools, APIs, and Git
  • Experience with structured healthcare or pharma data preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Analytics or other related discipline

Preferred

  • Familiarity with pharma sources (IQVIA Plantrak, Symphony Health PayerSource, MMIT, Clarivate, affiliations data, amongst others) and compliance requirements.
