Job Summary

Build and coordinate external communications content and campaigns with a focus on fundraising materials, newsletters, and social/emails, while supporting team operations and a mission-aligned culture.

  • Content & Channel Support: Draft, edit, and publish newsletters, social posts, emails, and website updates.
  • Campaigns & Fundraising: Coordinate the monthly eNewsletter and assist with fundraising collateral, direct mail, and digital appeals.
  • Collaboration & Growth: Attend team meetings, ensure alignment with Catholic Charities goals, and help foster accountability and inclusion.

Job Description

  • The Associate Communications Consultant supports the development and execution of communication efforts by providing support the Communications Department by creating content, assisting with social media and email activities, and helping coordinate fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Supporting the content creation for external channels, including newsletters, social media, emails, and website updates.
  • Assist with drafting, editing, and proofreading communications and marketing materials such as fundraising campaign/appeal collateral, presentations, and reports.
  • Attend communications team meetings and work closely with the team to support communication functions and activities.
  • Build and test monthly eNewsletter; coordinate with Communications team members for deployment.
  • Assist in the Sr Director of External Communications with the project/campaign management of routine deliverables that include monthly print publication, contributing columns, direct mail and digital fundraising appeals, newsletters, post-meeting notes, campaign briefs, and others as needed.
  • Exhibit alignment with the team's clear goals that are mission-focused, grounded in Catholic Charities history, and tied to action.
  • Contribute to a joy-filled culture built upon respect and inclusion, team pride, and community spirit.
  • Collaborate effectively to support excellent process, accountability, and constructive conflict.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to growth through learning, forgiveness, and reflection.
  • High school diploma required
  • Experience with drafting, editing, and proofreading marketing or communications materials
  • Basic understanding of marketing or communications campaigns
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
  • Bachelor's degree or enrolled in a bachelor's degree program focused on marketing or communications preferred
  • Experience working at a Nonprofit
