Job Description

Lead marketing education and service duties, focusing on large-section Principles of Marketing and industry partnerships.

  • Own undergraduate teaching across marketing courses, including large Principles of Marketing sections.
  • Must-have: MBA or Master’s in Marketing with industry experience.
  • Standout: Experience teaching large sections and building industry collaborations.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching multiple undergraduate courses in marketing, with an emphasis on large-section Principles of Marketing, as well as courses such as Services Marketing, Sales, Digital Marketing, and related areas based on departmental needs and supervising graduate teaching assistants assigned to large-section course.
  • Report to the Chair of the Department of Marketing and contribute to the missions of the department and the college through service activities.
  • Serving on departmental and college committees.
  • Mentoring students pursuing careers in marketing.
  • Supporting faculty in certificate programs.
  • Advising student organizations as appropriate.
  • Engaging with industry partners to strengthen relationships between the department and the business partners.

Requirements

  • MBA degree or a Master’s degree in Marketing
  • Industry experience in marketing, sales, or digital marketing

Preferred

  • Earned highest degree in marketing or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in prior teaching, particularly at the undergraduate level.
  • Interest in and ability to teach large-section Principles of Marketing and other marketing courses.
  • Relevant industry experience in marketing, sales, or digital marketing.
  • Ability to engage with industry partners and develop meaningful collaborations.
