Job Summary

Drive outreach and storytelling for a 1-year AmeriCorps VISTA housing-justice program.

  • Own archival work, oral histories, and 40-year celebration content.
  • Must-have: High school diploma or GED.
  • Interest in housing justice and collaboration across Illinois.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Organize archives, collect oral histories, document accomplishments, and plan ways to celebrate 40 years of impact.
  • Update website and create content for newsletters.
  • Develop programmatic videos and animated explainers.
  • Share the impact of our programs and contribute to both print and digital communications.
  • Collaborate with staff to identify and apply for prospective funders and strengthen individual giving campaigns.

Requirements

  • Education level: High school diploma/GED
  • Age Requirement: Minimum: 18
  • Program Start/End Date: 09/08/2026 - 09/07/2027

Preferred

  • passionate about housing justice, interested in communications and development, and eager to foster collaboration among housing organizations across Illinois.
