Job Summary

Own the brand and demand-gen lever for a scholarly journal portfolio, aligning messaging, market entry, and cross-functional programs with editors and subject teams.

Brand and demand-gen ownership across campaigns, with a focus on journal position and lead generation.
Cross-functional collaboration with marketing and editorial product teams to hit journal, subject, and society goals.
Market intelligence and stakeholder management to uncover customer needs and drive article growth and market share gains.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Develop and implement brand awareness and lead generation strategies to establish, maintain, or improve the position of the journal portfolio.
Develop effective product positioning, messaging, and market entry strategies and deliver effective campaign and program briefings.
Collaborate with colleagues across the marketing organization to deliver marketing programs that deliver on journal, subject and society goals.
Communicate effectively with the editorial product teams about marketing results and best practices.
Maintain and improve internal and external customer relationships.
Review market intelligence, market research and competitor behavior to better understand customer needs and identify areas where Wiley can deliver article growth and market share gains.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, business or a related field.
5+ years of marketing experience, with a proven track record of achieving results and delivering on priorities.
Strong data analysis and insight interpretation skills, with the ability to translate insights into effective marketing strategies.
Strong customer focus, and proven experience managing complex stakeholder relationships.
Ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization and influence without direct authority.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

Professional marketing or product marketing qualification.
Experience working within academic publishing, scholarly communication, or a related scientific/technical field.
Experience working with cross-functional or cross location teams.
